First we landed in Beijing for a couple days. When we were there we visited a Buddhist Temple called Lama Temple. People lit incense and prayed to Buddha.

Going to Nanning
We got up very early and took a plane to Nanning. The flight was 4 hours long. We saw lots of mountains. China has a lot of mountains.

In Nanning we visited a beautiful park and saw people doing traditional Tai Chi with swords.
China has many beautiful parks and new tall buildings and offices. This was the view from our hotel window in Nanning.

They have a lot of traffic in China. It is dangerous to cross the street!

Food
We ate mostly Chinese food. For Mom and Dad is was YUMMY!!!! We also ate at McDonalds, Pizza Hut and KFC. The food at KFC was VERY SPICY.... Chinese people like spicy food.
We had alot of ice cream in Nanning. They had normal flavours like here, but they also had funny flavours like Corn on the cob and Pea! My dad tried both of them!

Then we went back to Beijing. Beijing is in the North of China where it was COLD like Canada (-5C or +3C but very windy!) It does not snow very often though.
We saw the Summer Palace. It has a HUGE marble boat and the longest corridor in the world! Each section has a different hand-painted masterpiece on it.

We also visited the Great Wall of China! It was very cold and windy. This section of the Great Wall was the last to be built about 600 years ago.

Tiananmen Square was very large, the largest Square in the world. It was also the entrance to the Forbidden City. It was the house of the Emperors in China for the last 2 Dynastys in China (Ming and Qing ("Ching"). The Qing Dynasty went from 1644 to 1912!
